It has metal powder tip and not tungsten at all, it is designed to cut timber, but it also cuts metal and other materials except any cementitious material, it will not damage the blade, and the tip will not chip off, this is due to the fine metal powder on the tip, only very small portion of the powder may chip off during the cutting.
